We Can help!

About OUR DOG Behavior CAMP in ARIZONA

Fixing dog behaviors is our core business. Partners Dog Training has been addressing behavioral problems since 1997 and is referred to by more industry professionals than any other trainer in the valley. Our experience is unparalleled in the industry. Rest assured, if we can’t fix it, no one can.

Behavior Camp addresses serious dog behavioral issues like insecurity, potty training, destructive chewing, growling, dog manners, and socialization issues.

Step 1

Assessment + Check-in

  • Prior to any dog coming to us for training, we verify vaccination records, complete any pre-check-in forms, and potentially schedule an assessment to ensure the best path forward.
  • Behavior Camp begins with a one-hour check-in lesson with your responsible instructor.
  • This gives you an opportunity to meet us and establish goals for the program.
  • This also gives us an opportunity to meet you and your pup in order to see if we are the best fit for you.
  • Once you’ve had a chance to ask any questions and address any concerns, we will check your dog in for training, go over any feeding/medical protocols, and then get to work!

Step 2

Training + Demos

  • Next, your dog will start their training.
  • In Behavior Camp, your pup will receive over an hour of active training each day with.
  • They will also receive hours of socialization each day due to the immersive aspect of camp.
  • In between training sessions, your dog will be crated on the Training Floor. This practices a behavior called “modeling” which is when the training happening around them actually rubs off on the dog watching.
  • You can also add All Day Play, where they can socialize, play, and practice proper manners whenever they aren’t being trained.
  • Or you can add some Treadmill Training in order to drain energy, build confidence, and maybe even shed a few pounds if necessary!
  • During the training period, you will receive progress reports, videos, pictures, and even come in for a private lesson.
  • During this time, your trainer will go over what has been happening, what we have had success with, and where we are having difficulties.

Step 3

Transition

  • The last step is to transition the training we have instilled over to you.
  • In addition to the online Pet Parent Guide that you will complete while your dog is in training you also have access to a plethora of other training resources.
  • This is probably the most critical step as it involves teaching you to maintain the behaviors we have established at the school.
  • With more private lessons and 8 Pet Parenting Group Classes, we will guide you through the process of managing your dog through all types of scenarios.
  • As we say, 90% of our job is training you. We can get your dog to sing the ABCs, but none of that matters if the training doesn’t transfer over to you.
  • During this stage, we require consistency and dedication on your part to ensure your dog doesn’t revert back to old, bad behaviors.

Are there any breed/age restrictions?

There is a minimum age restriction of about six months which allows time to get all of their vaccinations done. However, there is no maximum age restriction because, despite the saying, you can teach an old dog new tricks.

Why should I choose you?

With over 25 years of experience, we have an extensive track record of success. Our trainers receive the best education in the industry. Your questions are answered with kindness and compassion. We consistently push ourselves to exceed your expectations!

Is the cost worth it?

In the same way one would send their child to school, where professional educators are entrusted with their care, dog owners enroll their pups in school, where professional trainers achieve the best results. Is it an investment? Of course! As long as you are a part of the process and maintain the training at home.

When can I get started?

Once you have selected your program, our team is happy to schedule your check-in with your instructor. We then collect a non-refundable deposit, verify vaccinations, and invite you to complete your Pet Parent Portal information.

Where does my dog sleep?

We have raised Kuranda cots in either our luxury suites or standard chain-link enclosures. We have the options of 6x4ft enclosures for large dogs and 4x4ft for smaller dogs. Dogs always have access to clean water and are rotated frequently throughout the day.

Is there someone there overnight?

Our Scottsdale location does have staff overnight in case of emergency. We don't have staff overnight at our Cave Creek facility, but one of the owners does live on the same property.

What should I bring to Check-In?

Some parents will bring in special diet food or medications for their dogs. Any bedding, toys, etc. can be left at home during boarding and training unless otherwise specified.
