Puppy Group Training: Building Foundations
- For our guests completing one of our Board & Train Camp programs, we have the perfect class to hone in your skills and perfect the relationship with your pup.
- Pet Parenting Classes are included in our Camp programs for Parents to practice their training in a distraction-filled environment.
- Gain valuable insights into your dog’s training around a high-energy environment with our Team there to help you through any hurdle.
- Pet Parenting Classes take place on an ongoing basis at both of our locations and are available for scheduling through our Office Team.
Foundational
Puppy and Me
- This is a 4-week long class for puppies between 5-8 months old
- We cover socialization, proper play, greetings with other puppies and/or people, and environmental desensitization (bikes, fans, tunnels etc.)
- We also cover basic obedience, crate training, confidence building, and engagement exercises such as Heel, Watch (focus), Sit, Down, Come, and Spin.
- Teachers include a main instructor who calls out the commands and provides explanations for different behaviors and an assistant for one-on-one attention.
- This class offers a great stepping stone into more formal obedience.
Foundational
Level 1 Obedience: Beginner Group Dog Training
- This is an 8-week-long class for dogs needing to improve their obedience!
- This class does not feature any type of direct socialization. However, dogs do learn to work side by side with other dogs without becoming overly distracted.
- This class spends a great deal of time educating the owner on basic training techniques such as timing and marking, as well as troubleshooting.
- We also cover basic obedience and engagement exercises such as Heel, Sit, Down Stay, Watch (Focus), and Come!
- Teachers include a main instructor who calls out the commands and provides explanations for different behaviors and an assistant for one-on-one attention.
- This class leads into Level 2 Obedience, and dogs are able to test out of Level 1 with a Class Placement Assessment.
Intermediate
Level 2 Obedience: Intermediate Group Dog Training
- This is an 8-week long fast-paced class with a ton of new, fun behaviors!
- In this level of obedience, we assume that the handlers have a good relationship with their dog and a strong understanding of teaching new behaviors while improving known commands.
- Level Two is where you’ll learn an assortment of advanced obedience behaviors such as “On-The-Move Commands”, Distance Commands, Flip-To-Heel, Stand, Emergency Downs, and an intro to Off-Leash.
- Teachers include a main instructor who calls out the commands and provides explanations for different behaviors and an assistant for one-on-one attention.
- This class leads into Level 3/4 Obedience class.
Intermediate
Level 3/4 Obedience: Advanced Group Dog Training
- This is an 8-week long fast-paced class that continues to progress the behaviors covered in previous obedience levels!
- In this class, handlers should continue to improve the known commands while advancing their communication with their dog.
- Level Three/Four is where you’ll learn an assortment of advanced obedience behaviors as well as a full move into Off-Leash Obedience.
- Teachers include a main instructor who calls out the commands and provides explanations for different behaviors and an assistant for one-on-one attention.
Sporty
Agility Dog Training
- This is a 6-week long fast-paced class covering the fundamentals of agility while creating a positive environment for dogs and their parents.
- This class is one of the best ways to drain energy, build confidence and improve relationship.
- In Agility, you’ll learn an assortment of behaviors and obstacles such as A-Frame, Hoop, Jumps, Tunnels, Dog-Walk, Teeter-Totter, Weaves, and more!
- Teachers include a main instructor who calls out the commands and provides explanations for different behaviors and an assistant for one-on-one attention.
Sporty
Rally Dog Training
- This is an 8-week-long fast-paced class with a ton of new, fun behaviors!
- In this class, you will have a whole new focus on the precision needed in competition obedience. While Rally is a sport, you don’t have to compete to learn a ton and have a blast at the same time!
- An assortment of Rally-specific commands and behaviors will be covered in detail, and by the end of the course, you should have a great foundation in competition obedience!
- Teachers include a main instructor who calls out the commands and provides explanations for different behaviors and an assistant for one-on-one attention.

Partners Dog School has group classes for all interests, experience levels, and schedules! With over a dozen group classes run each week, you’re sure to find something you’ll love. In our classes, you’ll find everything from basic puppy manners to advanced obedience and even sport dog training!

Frequently Asked Questions
What if I miss a group class?
In some cases, you are allowed to join another class going on at that time. However, this is all up to your instructor’s discretion and is taken on a case-by-case basis.
How long are group classes?
Most group classes are 1 hr/week 1x/week for 8 weeks. Puppy and Me is 1 hr/week 1x/week for 4 weeks.
Can I address behavioral issues in group class?
Unfortunately not. Group classes are not designed to address behavioral issues, socialization, or counter-conditioning. If you are looking to improve your dog’s behavior, we recommend one of our camp programs.
How many dogs are allowed in a group class?
Most group classes will have between 5-8 dogs in class with 1 instructor and 1 assistant.
Are there any age/breed restrictions?
We require all dogs to be at least 20 weeks old and have all of their vaccinations (Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella). We do not have a maximum age restriction and work with all breeds!
Can my dog skip a level?
Some dogs may skip Level 1 obedience if they first complete a Class Placement Assessment with one of our trainers and are approved to enter Level 2 Obedience.
